House was as described. Pictures on website were accurate. Location was good, close to city.We used Uber for transportation, so parking wasn't an issue. Had a few random light bulbs out. Furniture in living room had a faint unpleasant smell. Petty complaint coming....we were disappointed that the Celtics game was unavailable to us (as well as Golden State-Houston) because neither ESPN or TNT were included in the TV package.

We had a wonderful stay...the neighborhood was very friendly and quiet. The home was comfortable and perfect for two couples. Having the floor plan posted to view was very helpful. The description said one room had a king bed but both bedrooms were queens, which was our only disappointment!

We're a family of 5 (parents and 3 teens) and we loved the Sawyer unit. We've stayed in a lot of vacation rental units and this one was one of the best furnished that we've seen. The kitchen was amazing! And we love having 2.5 bathrooms! We walked to the Savin Hill T station, about half a mile away, and we were in 'town' in no time. The unit was sparking clean and the communication from Swank was above-average. We received all the info we needed thru the app. I would definitely stay here again!

This apartment Sawyer on Jones Hill was great, very spacious, well designed with all one needs to feel at home. The kitchen was fully equipped and really made it easy to cook great meals. Nice 10 minute walk to the Red Line Train with a rapid access to all sites Boston has to offer. Friendly quiet neighbourhood. All that is said in the description is exactly what you get. We have rented many very nice apartments over the years. We want high quality. We shall definitely rent this apartment again on a future trip to Boston.

This condo provided everything we needed for quick access to the T line into the city, while offering a quiet neighborhood experience. We felt like locals but could easily get into Boston each day to explore. We had everything we needed to cook in house meals. Our only issue was temperature regulation that is not controlled within the house, but rather by the property manager. Once we got it regulated which took 2 days of communication, it was fine.

Our stay in Boston at was great. The pictures of the condo were very accurate. Very clean, good location, close to subway and restaurant. I would suggest for all of us old folks that are not tec savvy that they should give directions on the TV. Also they lock up ALL cleaning supplies. It would be nice if they would leave something out so the person staying could keep up on cleaning and not have to buy cleaning product.

Unit was very well appointed and roomy. Great kitchen and dining room. Its a pleasant walk to restaurants, etc. but its hilly, so not for everyone. On-street parking is fine, not always real close but never too bad. The subway/train system works well to go downtown, and is kind of a fun adventure (and there is parking near the station). Neighbors and pretty much everybody we met in Boston were friendly and helpful!

Fantastic. The house was very spacious. The kitchen was generous but the cooking equipment was basic but with only the two of us it was not a problem. The washer and dryer were very efficient and washing liquid was provided. Dishwasher was a bonus. Previous guests identified restaurants within the vicinity but we were after groceries and had to work out where to go. We discovered a supermarket called Brothers walking distance from the house which served us well on the first night, and discovered Wholefoods just south of the city with free parking the next day. We never had a problem with the street parking and usually found a park right outside the house.

The condo was wonderfull! The location is perfect for a visit to downtown Boston. The parking on street was a bit of a hassle. It was very busy and we had to search for a parking space several times. We had a great time..the condo is well appointed, very clean and was actually in a good area if you are able to walk to the T station which is about a 20 minute walk at a good pace. There is a good breakfast/lunch spot (McKenna's) and Savin Scoop ice cream is great. The drive to downtown if you have a car is actually not too bad even considering the traffic. It worked great for us -- two adult couples. When we got there they were short on hangars and a lightbulb -- we had someone there within 20 minutes to make that good. We would stay there again. It could use a bit of a touch up of paint in spots but I would still stay there because it was quite nice and extremely clean.

Very good experience, lovely house with good beds, awesome shower, TV, electricity and many bathrooms! Perfect for a family or a few friends.
The key system is very smart and secure. Neighbourhood quite sketchy though, and very far from metro station.

I would only say that I would have prefered if the deposit money of $500 had been given back sooner rather than 2 weeks later. And in general, the place was quite expensive, even more than a hotel. But lovely.

Metro Station: Not being sure which way you walked to the metro, its hard for us to know what you mean by "very far," but it is only about a 10-15 minute walk directly from this unit. If you walk the other direction, it is a good bit further and circuitous. On our website you will find a map for each property, so future guests that read this can check out the route beforehand. And you can always count on us to give you guidance for any part of your stay with us. Our Guest Services are 2nd to None and we love going the extra mile for you! Neighbourhood: As far as "sketchy," we are not sure if you mean dangerous (which it is not) or ethnically diverse (which it is). But then again, all of Boston is diverse and we wouldn't want it any other way. From the Latino community with their vibrant festivals to the African American community with their grace and enthusiasm added to the mix and the LGBT community with their welcoming and fun bars and parades, we are incredibly enriched by the diversity. The diversity is too great to list all in one little response, but you are probably thinking of Boston already because of our diversity . For some folks, that may not be their thing and we understand that. But if you are looking for a vibrant, enriching experience of history and the present, Boston is full of wonders and fun! And we welcome all with open arms!

We really enjoyed the vacation home conveniently located so close to Boston. The property was beautiful and excellently maintained. Old World charm blended perfectly with updated modern conveniences. Whenever we had a question or needed some assistance the property manager was quick to reply and happy to help. The T stop was a fair trek, but we rented a car and parked in the pay lot each day. Made it very easy to commute to and from the city. Would have liked more cooking utensils and bakeware, but Boston has so many excellent restaurants, home cooked dinners were not sorely missed. The kitchen was adequately equipped for breakfasts and snack preparation in the morning.

Spacious, comfortable, well maintained, recently renovated accommodations. Location in a Boston "neighborhood" was convenient to public transportation. 15 minute walk to the closest 'T' station gets you nearly anywhere you might want to go in the greater Boston area. Ample on street parking is available if you have a car.
The only downside to our stay was the occasional sound transmission of people walking around in the unit above ours.
I'd stay here again on my next trip to Boston!

The rental unit's location is excellent for traveling in and out of the city, although our GPS unit did have a heard time finding it the first time. It was perfect for a family get together, espeicailly since we were traveling with an infant. I would not however say it sleeps 6 as the extra sleepin area in the living room is an extremely thin mattress. The only other down side was the shower in the Master Bathroom. It could have been a bit cleaner and there was nowhere to put shampoo/razors ect.

Upon our arrival, we were pleasantly surprised to see the size of the apartment. The pictures did not do it justice! The place was clean and welcoming after our long drive. I know that most people would be satisfied with the kitchen apparel but as foodies (4 of us) who love to cook we found many things spatulas, 3 wine glasses, 3 coffee mugs, no cookie sheets and limited frying pans so if breakfast is all you are planning on doing you will be fine. The instructions for arriving, departing and using the electronics are clear and simple which made things easy. All in all a wonderful stay! P.S. If you expect to sit out back and enjoy the sun with a cup of coffee or glass of wine forget it! The backyard needs much attention and is not in a state to receive guests. It would be a huge asset if that could be added to the apartments appeal!

I have never used a vacation rental before. I can not imagine having a better experience than we did with Swank properties. We had great communication with the staff who answered every question I had promptly. We loved staying in a Boston neighborhood so that we got to see what things were like outside the city as well as inside. The property was immaculate and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and it's a great place for a group since it has 2 1/2 baths. It was very easy to take the train into the city. We live in a very rural area and have never used public transportation before, so we were nervous about using the train. However, it was so convenient, inexpensive and fast! Not only that, the people who live in the Savin Hill neighborhood are extremely friendly. More than once, they helped us by answering questions or just by saying a friendly hello. We ate at some of the finest restaurants in Boston, yet our favorite spot was the Savin Hill Kitchen and Bar. It is only a few minutes from the house. We loved using Swank properties and would do it again in a minute. I hope we can visit Boston again, and I'll definitely use Swank Properties!

Overall this was a great experience. Parking was helpful. Everything was clean and orderly. The wifi was extremely fast. Everything you could need is in the apartment including pots and pans to cook. The only slight downside is that the walk from the station to the apartment doesn't feel the safest at night but I think using normal common-sense in an urban area would ensure that you're fine.

A very comfortable rental with lots of charm. The management team was very prompt in answering email questions and very professional. The location was challenging as we had older parents along who were having knee problems-the walk to the T was about 10 blocks and very hilly. It was very difficult to get a taxi. Our stay was quiet and relaxing. I'd recommend highly if you are with a party that is able to walk.

This is modern apartment comprising the entire first floor of large home in the Savin Hill area of Boston.

Though it's in the suburbs with not much in the way of sights and attractions, we chose this rental for it's accessibility, free parking and spaciousness.

We give this 'Almost Perfect' review because it was lacking a few basic kitchen and bathroom amenities ie, a tea kettle, non stick fry pan and some shelving in the shower.

The apartment could have been cleaner as the kitchen rug was quite stained and there were linens tossed into a chest without being folded which gave me the impression they had not been washed.

It didn't help to read that at check out we should take the sheets off the bed but leave the duvet cover and shams again, leading me to believe these are not washed between guests.

That said, the rental is very much as advertised and we did enjoy our stay.

This property is nearly perfect ... very clean, well furnished, 10 min walk to T, great management. However, neighbors upstairs were definitely not quiet or considerate. They stay up well past midnight and are up by 6:30a. You have no trouble hearing every thump of their footsteps. They also have no problem talking loudly in the house's common spaces like the front door or back porch area. If you are looking for quiet, restful property this might not be for you ... or just bring along some ear plugs as this place is really quite nice.

We had a great stay on Jones Hill. The property suited us very well. We had a car and found it easy to get around. The only things that we can point at is that the water tap in the kitchen was loose and could not be operated with one hand and the lack of a phone in the condo to make ordering a taxi easier. Traveling from abroad we only had foreign phone numbers and that is not accepted for ordering taxi to the house. You could install a phone, locked for outgoing calls to make things like this easier.
Everything else was great!

A good location from which you can explore Boston. Nice house.

We booked this rental for the Thanksgiving holiday after a last minute change in plans. We found out three weeks earlier that we had to host Thanksgiving...out of town...for about 30 people. Since a hotel room was out of the question, we felt lucky to find this rental available. When my husband and three adult children saw the home, we were blown away. The pictures on this website do not convey the beauty of the furnishings, wall colors, and other design elements. It also doesn't capture the over-sized kitchen, cozy gas fireplace, or the two tasetfully finished bedrooms, each with their own remodeled bathrooms. The kitchen had everything I needed to complete the Thanksgiving meal for my large extended family, and the condo was open and spacious enough for everyone to move around comfortably, eat, and socialize. I have to say, this was one of the most fun Thanksgiving seasons I've had in years and this rental was a big part of the reason for that.
I have to mention that there were a couple of minor glitches we saw when we arrived the day before the holiday, (not enough towels, problems with the powder room sink) but Lance Swank came over himself - on Thanksgiving day - to handle them. We could not have been more impressed by his commitment to our comfort.
My kids liked being in a true Boston neighborhood, our Thanksgiving guests enjoyed plenty of free street parking, and for a last minute booking, this was also the most economical. We will definitely stay here again. It's our new home away from home in Boston!!

58 Sawyer Ave is a very comfortable base from which to explore Boston.Tastefully decorated and roomy, it was great to return there in the evening to relax.Easy for us to walk to the 'T' station but perhaps a little far if you have walking difficulties.Only negative points really were the noises from above due to hard flooring, a limited range of cooking dishes and cups and garden areas needed some tending but these are very minor grumbles!We would be happy to use the property again and to recommend to others.

When you are stepping outside of the front door, do not go left. We ventured left and walked a few blocks to look for a pizza place and we were greeted with cop cars with lights flashing every few minutes and multiple cops on foot. Mind you this was on a Sunday afternoon. We wanted to find the Dudley square metro stop, so we asked the friendly pizza staff and they told us ABSOLUTELY, DO NOT GO THERE! The location of the house is in a fine area and I felt safe, just don't venture too far off to the left.

We had a wonderful stay at The Sawyer. The rental looked better in person than even in the photos. Very clean and all the amenities needed. A short ride to Savin Hill Station (Red Line) as advertised, and took about 30-40 minutes with walking to get to most locations we wanted to visit in Boston (but a bit too far to go back to in the middle of the day for a break). We did not have a car but there was plenty of street parking as well. Not too much to do in the area but a great place to stay for your visit to Boston.

My family of 3 adults spent a wonderful week in Boston that definitely included our super condo!
We felt that EVERYTHING had been planned ahead to make us as comfortable as possible.
The condo furnishings and decor are very attractive. The entire place is so scrupulously clean that we felt "at home" and comfortable. The apartment is well furnished. The kitchen in particular was quite upscale.
One of our group was unwell the first few days of the week and had to stay behind in the apartment alone while the others were out seeing the sights. She said that the open, airy condo with the many large windows and the upbeat decor kept her from feeling blue.
From the first email of questions through check-out the service provided was efficient and prompt.
Parking was free on the street. While it was not reserved for our apartment it was almost always available within 2 or 3 houses distance.
The Sawyer is a downstairs apartment but we only heard the other tenants a very few times a day when they were coming or going through the small vestibule that leads to the building's main door. This was fine because the rest of the time it was extremely quiet-we heard no neighborhood or city noise. The vestibule also provided an extra measure of safety in the form of a second locked door between us and the outside.
We vacation together 2-3 weeks a years and we all found this to be the nicest place we've stayed.
If "I care about your comfort" were painted by the owner across the wall inside it would definitely be the truth.

We rented this condo while my husband was in Boston working for one week and it was fantastic! Spotlessly clean, beautiful, modern and comfortable. Some very nice added touches, ie: super-soft sheets, extra blankets for lounging on the sofa, condiments in the cupboard and some plush soccer balls decorating the second bedroom, as the owner knew we were traveling with our 9-year-old son!
