Wonderfully built brand new 990sq foot 2 bed / 2 bath apartment in Jamaica Plain with patio! Minutes walk to gorgeous Jamaica Pond and the night life on Centre Street, 5 min walk to Subway! Dedicated parking, central air, gas heat, in unit washer/dryer!

The 301 at 3389 Washington St. is a recent addition to the Jamaica Plain neighborhood where the original Sam Adams Brewery is located. Each unit is brand new and features a washer/dryer, private patio access, full kitchen including dishwasher, disposal, coffee maker and pots and pans, hardwood floors, and central air conditioning/heating. The windows are HUGE and the light is fantastic! And the Master Bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with shower! The ground floor houses [XX RETAIL PROJECT] and the building is walking distance to the Green St. Subway on the Orange Line as well as the Franklin Park Zoo. Unit has a dedicated parking spot in building parking lot. Building has an elevator and the building entrance is on street level (no stoop).

Overall our experience with the 301 on Washington was good. The place is obviously very new, with all new furnishings and kitchen. The folks at the property management company were very communicative and responsive. The location, while not very close to downtown, is very convenient to the Green Street T station, which makes it an easy commute to anywhere in downtown Boston and beyond.

A few suggestions and comments as far as furnishings. While the apartment technically sleeps 6 (2 queen beds and a couch), there is not a lot of seating, particularly for meals. There are four short barstools and a small stainless table that is more like a kitchen island, which is the only table for meals. A real dining table would certainly fit in the kitchen and would be a good addition. Also, a little more glassware (drinking glasses, wine/beer glasses) would be useful. Four of us stayed several days and we ended up having to wash glassware every day.

Finally, if you are considering staying here, take note of the check-in time (6 pm). If you want to check in earlier than 5 pm there are escalating fees depending on how early you want to check in. I found that to be a little bit "nickel and dime" additional fee on top of the rental expense. We did pay for early check-in just to avoid having to walk around Boston all day with our suitcases.

    Hi Tim, Many thanks for your thoughtful comments. We are perfecting the amenities and layout and will take your suggestions to heart. It is a completely new building and all new furniture and amenities. I do want to correct a few things that might be confusing to other guests: The stainless steel table is a table and also a kitchen island. It is cozy but not small at 4ft long. And the 5 (five) stools are easily adjustable from table height to bar hight. Perhaps you didn't adjust them with the lever on the side? As far as check-in time, 75% of our guests check in at 6pm or after. In order to keep your costs down, we only charge a nominal fee that we pay out to the cleaning company to ensure the unit is ready for your early arrival. If we did not pass on the fee to just the guests that want to check in early ( 2pm, 3pm, 4pm, etc. ) , we would have to pass that on to all guests. We don't think that is right. Paying the early check-in fee guarantees you that your unit will be ready for when you need it and you won't have to walk around Boston with your suitcases all day. Most of our guests enjoy the flexibility when they have an earlier arrival or a later departure. With our very competitively priced rates, having that extra flexibility can make a trip much more comfortable.
