The house we stayed in was perfectly located. We walked to the T station and rrose into town everyday without any problem. The neighborhood is very quiet. I was a little surprised about a few small things that were broke in the unit since it is owned by a company. No curtain in the bathroom/shower, back door would not lock, knob on the stove broke and door handle to the pantry broke. Just small things. But overall, we enjoyed our stay. Beds were very comfortable.

Check in and out was smooth and easy. Please note there are two flights of stairs that are quite steep to get to the main level. Beds were comfortable but we could have used a spare blanket or two as it was cold during our stay. The kitchen was well equipped. But there were several dead light bulbs that made the kitchen/dining area tough to cook in at night. Finally, the CO detector went off two nights in a row. Quite unnerving, but we were told the apartment had electric heat so there was nothing to worry about.

We stayed here for 1 night while visiting Boston for a birthday and was very nice. The pictures make it seem like your renting the whole house but its really just the third floor and a small room on second floor. Everything was clean and nice the only problem we had was the alarm system. Every-time we would walk down the hall it started beeping loud and a voice you could not understand started coming from it yelling. It also happened during the night when we were sleeping. Could not diagnose the problem as we couldn't understand what it was saying. Overall great stay though.

This was a great place. Maybe I missed it in the description, but the amount of stairs and narrowness of the stairway could be hilighted more. It was not a problem, but it could be for some people. Ample sleeping alternatives for the six of us. An easy drive into Boston proper. A cellphone is required to accomplish check in and check out.

  All you need is an wifi enabled device (phone, tablet, laptop, etc.) to log into our Guest Portal to get timely info. Does not have to be a phone. Also, driving to downtown is an option, but the subway is a 10 minute walk away! Don't miss feeling like a local by taking the "T!"

We do realize that the cleaning fee is pricey (not excessive) for a single night, but we feel we must clean the unit the same and as thoroughly for every stay, not just for longer ones. We took my parents and son to Boston for a week long vacation over the 4th of July holiday. We needed a 3 bedroom place that was convenient to get to the city. This property could not have been better. We had two spacious rooms for my wife and I and parents. The third bedroom was perfect for a 12 year old. We were less than 10 blocks away from the T which got us in town in less than 10 minutes. The kitchen was great. Laundry in the house was a bonus. A lot of steps to get upstairs but they were safe and manageable. We would prefer to stay here again if available. The best part was how easy it was to check in and check out. The smart phone app looks great however I did not have one. This was no issue. I was contacted and given the code to the lock to enter. I emailed that I arrived and emailed that we left. That was it. Too easy.

My husband and I stayed here while visiting Boston for our nephew's graduation and this place was perfect! First of all, you are high up but get amazing views of the Boston skyline, especially at night when it is all lit up! The property was specious and had everything we needed! The rooms were big, the bathroom huge and not to mention the laundry room off of the bathroom! The kitchen was open and spacious with a deck off the kitchen! This place was within minutes of a subway station and around a ton of bars, restaurants and convenience stores! We went to the pizza place down the street and were filmed for the next season of the Wahlburgers! So much fun! I would definitely stay here again! It's on top of this awesome hill that would give you killer legs if you had to walk up it everyday:) Perfect place to stay! They even let me check out later then usual which was perfect since we had a later flight, thank you!

We absolutely loved staying in this house! It has so much character and I'm sure history as well. I loved the view from the balcony off of the kitchen. Sunrises were beautiful and the view of the city when it snowed was gorgeous! Keep in mind there are a lot of stairs but unless you're going to be coming and going all day long, they're not a problem. There was someone staying in the unit below us for a couple of days and though they weren't louder than they should have been, at night when they were in their unit we could hear all their loud laughter and loud talking (it sounded like there were more than one couple in the unit). That being said, I'm sure they could probably hear every step we took in our unit as the floors are understandably very creaky due to the age of the home, but that just gives it it's character. The bathroom is HUGE and there's also a washer and dryer which is a great added plus, especially if you're staying a week or more like we did. It's also only about 6 miles from Logan Airport which is perfect and close to the subway, as well. We would definitely stay there again.

The condo was in a good location and has a magnificent view of the city. The open floor plan is very spacious but yet set up to feel cozy and intimate. The concern was the bathtub. There were no slip guards and a couple of people did slip. There are a lot of stairs so this may be a concern for those who may not be as mobile. We were very satisfied with our stay at your rental. Noticing the tips for writing reviews, I think the property description was a little misleading. The dining table in the photo seats 6 with 6 chairs - actually it is a round table with 4 chairs (we had 6 people in our party). Also advertised was a third bedroom with twin beds when it was actually a trundle bed which we didn't find out until the next day when we called for more bedding. The property was neat and clean and management was right there when we needed the bedding. We were very satisfied with the property and will certainly look to that when we are in Boston again.

It was a little tough with only 1 bathroom but the upside is the bathroom was very spacious. The bottom floor bedroom is not ideal for 2 adults but did work in a pinch. The views that you work for going up the hill were beautiful. The T was close enough but coming back after a night of drinking make that hill a little more tough. Neighbors were nice. The management company was quick to answer any questions.

We spent only 2 nights here after 4 nights in New York...and wish we had spent more time in Boston. This is a high class apartment with plenty of space, and a wonderful elevated view across to the city. In the early mornings you can sit on the steps on the small terrace and take your coffee, or with a glass of wine in the evening. Neighborhood is typical Boston and is 10 minutes walk to the metro, so getting to Boston without car is easy.
Check in / out is simple via the App, and the appartment is very well equipped, and has washing machine and drier which is useful to keep the suitcase contents under control..
Only small problem was with the mix of the adolescents 3 boys 1 girl and my partner and I, we did not have sufficient bed linen for the 2 canopies.

It took us a bit to get used to "city apartment living" vs. a hotel, but in the end we were glad we stayed at the Sky View Condo. Furniture was all comfortable and check in/out was easy. Easy walk to subway to access Boston, and was so great to have own parking spot for the couple of days we did rent a car! A few amenities/needs we're needed upon arrival (extra bedding, laundry soap) but response when I emailed the management company was super fast and we had what we needed by the next morning. Neighbors downstairs were a bit noisy making lower bedroom unusable one night, but could usually drown out noise w/ air conditioners! View of city from living area was beautiful and neighborhood was very friendly. Thank you!

As company members of Phantom of the Opera National Tour, we spend much of our time in hotel along the tour. In cases where we have a slightly longer stay in a city, like a month, we try and find housing to make the experience more like a home and have a base with a kitchen and more amenities. In the case of the Sky View home it was everything we wanted it to be. 3 of us were extremely comfortable and found that the rental was clean, well furnished, very comfortable and the perfect location, just outside the city of Boston, to make a short commute everyday. From the first time we reached out Lance was awesome and answered all of our questions in a timely manner. If you are looking for a place to stay with a short walk to the T stop and breath taking views, look no further! This property can't be beat.

The unit was nicely located: near enough to downtown but still very much in a neighborhood. A couple things in the unit were not in perfect repair: the faucet on the tub was very looose and almost came off, we had to push it back on, qnd it still was not quite right. The door to the outside hall had no lock, only a latch, so it was somewhat concerning with kids in that room. The back porch was very unstable, Do not go on the back stairs. But I really did enjoy the unit. It was comfortable and great hard wood and Swank communicated very well. Those items were small, and I would absolutely rent thwre again.

This property was very nice. Just felt like it gave us a good taste of New England. The neighborhood was fun to stay in and see all that style of homes around. The home was older, but newly remodeled, so had great updated appliances, furniture, etc. The view was incredible. The location wasn't bad, but at the end of a long day walking around Boston, that half mile walk up hill from the T-station was daunting sometimes. Other than that-it was great. Well taken care of. Wonderful experience with everything from the booking process to the check-out. Would stay there again if we ever go to Boston. Definitely beats a hotel hands down! From the first enquiry with Swank Properties, I received prompt courteous service and good information about the property. The apartment was accurately represented and we had a great stay. Do be aware that the stairs are very steep - so getting our heavy luggage up to the third floor was doable but heavy work.
Being from Australia and having no local knowledge we suggest that the property have some local information such as closest grocery store, suggestions where to eat and how to get there in foot. The Irish pub - Harp and Bard serves a good meal. Also a folder with services such as taxi numbers would have been helpful too.
The apartment is only 10 minutes walk to the Savin Hill T station and the trip into Boston centre at the most 15 minutes away. We felt quite safe walking back to the apartment from the T station at night.
The app for mobiles providing information was helpful but it would be great to have more personalised information about the general location. We were unable to print the Welcome Pack that was sent through as we were already travelling so appreciated the good wifi available at the property.
We found some minor repairs needed and sent them through to the property managers who acknowledged the information and our feedback. We appreciated this and hope they take up some of our suggestions as Sky View is a lovely place to stay.
The departure requirements to advise you have left the property are understandable but as our email was not allowing us to send emails reliably it did cause us some concerns about complying with this request within the time frame. I appreciated that they understood my communication problems and let me send through an early email to confirm our departure time.

Nicely upgraded apartment that met the needs of our family of 4 (2 adult children) very well. Spacious and comfortable. Lance was very responsive in dropping off the extra set of sheets we needed. Having the washer/dryer in the unit was awesome and allowed us to pack much lighter as we could easily do laundry. If you are planning to use the subway the walk is mostly uphill so be aware and there are quite a few stairs in the house to get from the front door to the living room. I would definitely stay here again if I was in Boston with my family. So much better than a hotel room for adults.

I brought 3 of my students to Boston for a scientific meeting at the Boston Convention Center on Summer Street. The location was very nice and reasonably close to the Convention Center. Driving in Boston is tricky, but we managed tp find our way. The view from the apartment was spectacular. Security was good and the off-street parking space was wonderful. We have been staying at Sky View for five days while we were on holiday with the whole family (parents, three adult daughters). We were surprised by the spacious and luxurious apartment, with great view on the skyline of Boston city. It was not only spacious, but is was clean and very well equipped. The entry instructions were clear and simple. We haven't met Lance, but communication was easy and prompt. The bath tub had a dripping tap which could not be fixed while we were there which was a pity because of the water spillage, but for the rest everything was perfect!
